In Mixmag's Feb 2011's issue, I found an article all about Tiesto. The main image is a action shot of Tiesto DJing on stage with pink lighting, as well as the audience being in the shot. Tiesto is positioned high up on the stage in the photo, and the audience are much lower at ground level. We can't see the audience clearly as it's very dark, so we can only see a few arms in the air. Because it's so dark, the text is located in this area of the page in white writing so it is easy to read with a black background. At the top of the page it says "The greatest DJ of all Time", which is written in black with a very rounded looking font which is in capital letters, giving the impression of someone shouting, being loud or that music is fun.
The mast head of the article is "Tiesto No.1" in the same font. Tiesto is written in white and No.1 is written in black which makes it stand out and to give a contrast. There is a pull quote on the left hand side of the page at the bottom: "Nowadays DJing is about getting creative." This quote makes Tiesto sound as if he knows what he's talking about and that he's very talented and creative when he creates his music, which makes readers want to know more about him and to listen to his creations. There are four columns of text, and the font is a very basic typical font that is easy to read. The first column is quite small, as the pull quote is located in that column. The fourth column is also small, as it's only a paragraph which finishes off the article, and above it there are three quotes that were sent in from readers: "Trance is my religion and Tiesto is my god." "The lord of trance- he makes everyone on the dance floor feel special" etc. This supports the article saying that the public agree with the magazine that Tiesto is a great well-known DJ.
The text is a write up about Tiesto's career and journey, which includes some quotes from the DJ himself: "Money doesn't buy you happiness." It includes gossip about him, talking about what people think of him and how he deals with negativity, as well as talking about his financial position. The text has some swear words in it to make it seem casual. It also includes when Tiesto performs and his latest albums and songs to make readers listen.
Hi R, can you amend capslock to capital letters. Capslock is just the button on the keyboard.
